Zmolek retired from Iowa State in 1984 after 36 years of service as an Extension beef specialist and faculty member. Previously, he served as extension director in Jasper and Marshall counties.
Memorial contributions may be made to Youth and Shelter Services of Ames, Iowa 4-H Foundation or Green Hills Memorial Fund.
