The day will include Ms. Tran, who will give an overview of the NEH offerings and detailed information on the ODH and its initiatives, a mock panel review of ODH proposals, lightning talks, and an opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with the program officer. The mock review panel, will feature the 'live' review of three proposals selected by NEH and these proposal will be available to participants to review prior to the event. Mock panel reviews are always popular and offer attendees a deeper understanding of the proposal review process and how to write stronger proposals to the NEH ODH. A limited number of short lightning talks (approximately 4 min long) will be scheduled. Registrants are asked to submit an abstract during the registration process (submission deadline for this function is March 1) if they are interested in presenting. A selection committee will select a limited number of lightning talks to be presented during lunch on April 4, Lightning talks are a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the current research and scholarship being done in the digital humanities across our region and offer faculty a way to find areas of collaboration. Time at the end of the day will be devoted to pre-registered individual 20-minute sessions with Ms. Tran, where scholars may discuss their ideas and receive feedback. Interested faculty should indicate interest in meeting with Dr. Tran at the time of registration and the meetings will be scheduled based on a first-come first-serve basis.
