This introductory course focuses on the life cycle of seed, crop improvement, seed production, along with health, variety, and quality testing, post-harvest management, and seed conditioning technologies. The goal of this course is for each participant to establish a comprehensive understanding of seed science and technologies and provide a clear picture of the many facets of the seed industry.

Seed Science and Technology
Hands-on demonstrations, case studies, discussion sessions, guest speakers and a local seed industry tour. ISU's Seed Science Center houses the most comprehensive public seed testing laboratory in the world and is recognized globally as a leader in seed research and education.
