"From the Iowa Cornfield to the New York Boardroom," Kim Guthrie, president of Cox Media Group. Guthrie will draw form her own experience in broadcasting and advertising as she shares advice on getting a foot in the door, getting promoted and becoming a leader, along with trends in digital media. Cox Media Group (CMG) is an integrated broadcasting, publishing and digital media subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, Inc., based in Atlanta. Guthrie oversees all content, sales and operations for 14 broadcast television stations; more than 60 radio stations; six daily newspapers, more than a dozen non-daily publications; and more than 100 digital sites and services. Additionally, CMG operates the National Advertising Platform businesses of CoxReps - the country's biggest television rep firm - Gamut, and Videa.

Guthrie started her career as a journalist, having spent several years as a television news reporter and anchor, and she holds a degree in journalism from Iowa State University and is a member of the Greenlee School's Advisory Council.
