The Des Moines chapter of 1 Million Cups, the national Wednesday morning networking session for entrepreneurs, is meeting on campus. Two Ames entrepreneurs will present: Ian Tevis, SAFI-Tech; and Kevin Maher, VetMeasure. All are welcome at this free event; the coffee is free as well.

Free parking will be provided in the MU parking ramp.

SAFI-Tech is an Iowa State University spinoff and was founded in 2016. The business is a supercooled liquid metal particle technology which allows electronics manufacturers to solder at dramatically lower temperatures.

VetMeasure enables veterinarians and animal owners to remotely and objectively identify adverse health events prior to clinical signs, thus improving the health and welfare of animals. The company was founded in 2016 and is located in the ISU Research Park.
