The purpose of the ISU-OLC is to share campus best practices to improve online teaching and learning; see how others are using ISU's Learning Management System (LMS) Canvas to create innovative learning experiences, inform the campus about existing & new web-based instructional technologies, participate in new technology testing and evaluation; as well as, to leverage LMS expertise, experience and training resources across campus.

Audience: faculty, staff, and graduate teaching assistants.

*This Month's Topic:*
Online Learning Community's (OLC) second meeting is fast approaching! As always, it will be structured around practical and useful advice around Canvas and other ISU centrally-supported technologies, so that you have the information at your fingertips.

Need to know exactly how to apply what you learn at the OLC meetings in your own Canvas courses? Check out CELT Canvas Open Labs, where the CELT instructional designers will provide prompt step-by-step guidance. To view days/times view the Canvas Open Labs webpage.

*The agenda on September 13 includes the following topics:*
== Canvas updates and a short demo of the new Top Hat LTI tool, now available inside your Canvas courses.
== Teacher Presence in Online Learning Environments with Dr. Ruble, Associate Teaching Professor, Communication Studies, who uses Studio to create video communication and foster instructor presence in her online Canvas courses.
== Accessify your Canvas course with Dr. Wiley, ISU's Digital Accessibility Coordinator, who proposes simple and doable ways to make your online courses welcoming to all learners.
