The purpose of the ISU-OLC is to share campus best practices to improve online teaching and learning; see how others are using ISU's Learning Management System (LMS) Canvas to create innovative learning experiences, inform the campus about existing & new web-based instructional technologies, participate in new technology testing and evaluation; as well as, to leverage LMS expertise, experience and training resources across campus.

Audience: faculty, staff, and graduate teaching assistants.

This month's topics:
The Online Learning Community (OLC) is partnering with the Team-Based Learning Community (TBLC) to explore ways in which team-based learning, peer review and peer assessment can be accommodated in online and blended courses with available technologies, including Canvas and Top Hat. The following is on the agenda:
== Quick Canvas updates
== An overview of a graduate business course that is being currently delivered online using team-based learning (TBL) by Dr. Cantor, Professor, Supply Chain Management. Dr. Cantor will describe how this course was developed, the delivery lessons he has learned so far and how he plans to collect mid-semester feedback from his students.
== Pushing the limits of teamwork with Top Hat by Tanya Austin, Course and Career Coordinator, Ivy College of Business Career Services. Tanya Austin was creative in ways she introduced teamwork to students in her large enrollment business administration blended course.
== A cool hack for a better peer review functionality in Canvas by Dr. Rebecca Cademartiri, Assistant Teaching Professor, Materials Science and Engineering, who worked around the Canvas shortcoming to ensure peer accountability.
== A tip on setting up peer assessment in Canvas from Dr. Kira Werstein, Assistant Teaching Professor, Kinesiology.
