I will talk about using Effective field theory techniques applied to high energy collisions in QCD to probe the structure of hadrons. Traditional techniques of accessing the hadron structure rely on measuring the properties of an identified final state hadron and lead to large unwanted non-perturbative effects. I will explain why performing measurements at the level of final state groomed jets (collimated groupings of particles), instead of individual hadrons in experiments like Deep Inelastic scattering is a cleaner way to access the three dimensional hadron structure at colliders such as the EIC. The talk will also discuss in detail the structure of factorization theorems in QCD collisions within the framework of Soft Collinear Effective Theory (SCET) that allow us to make accurate theoretical predictions.
