Basis Light-front Quantization (BLFQ) is a many-body nonperturbative approach ideal for solving the structure of relativistic bound states. It is based on the quantum field theory quantized on the light front and adopts the Hamiltonian framework. In this talk I will introduce our recent progress in solving the structure of the positrionium (meson) system with one dynamical photon (gluon) in BLFQ. I will compare the resulting mass spectrum, wave functions, parton distribution amplitudes, decay constants, parton distribution functions and other observables with those obtained in earlier works where the one-photon(gluon) exchange effective interaction was employed. The photon (gluon) content in these bound states will be discussed.
