What does it mean to lead for social justice, particularly in colleges of education? This 2-day workshop is geared for new leaders and leaders-in-the-making. As educator-scholar-activists, we will explore the impact that is possible when viewing leadership as integral to movement building. Participants will learn conceptual frameworks and concrete strategies from accomplished leader Dr. Kevin Kumashiro.

Open to all: Institutional positions (dean, associate dean, chair, director), positions in professional associations (president, board member), or informal roles (mentor, organizer), and especially encourages participation by faculty and staff in higher education (but K-12 educators are welcome too!) who are already immersed in social justice work and/or who are members of underrepresented groups.

Agenda is July 30 and 31 from 12:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. (CST) each day.

Registration fees, information, and agenda are found on the Leading for social justice (Kevin Kumashiro Consulting) webpage.

Kevin Kumashiro Consulting will try to make a recording available afterwards, and if so, an announcement will be made on the Email Announcement List for Kevin Kumashiro Consulting.
