Students competing for cash prizes will present 5-minute carbon-negative solutions to a panel of judges. The pitches must include scientific/economic analysis showing the impact of their ideas in everyday language for a general audience.

Student participants must register by Nov. 18. This idea contest is jointly organized by the Green Umbrella and the Consortium for Advanced Bioeconomy Leadership Education (CABLE) to promote climate change awareness among Iowa State students.

Topic
A carbon-negative lifestyle implies a behavior or action that reduces your carbon footprint. For example, using biodegradable shopping bags instead of polythene bags, using a bike to go to the workplace instead of a car, etc. Try to find an innovative idea that can be implemented in one's daily life. The concept should be supported by scientific and economic analysis.
