Hear visiting graduate student Tassia Santos Neri Soares discuss the work into determining the cold tolerance of Moringa oleifera Lam., the fast-growing tree recognized for it's many uses.

Synospsis: Moringa oleifera Lam. is a fast-growing tree, recognized for its multiple uses, especially for human and animal consumption due to the high nutritional value of its leaves and in the cosmetic industry. Native from India and spread worldwide, moringa is typically adapted to tropical and subtropical regions, and considered sensitive to cold temperatures. This study is undertaken to systematically evaluate the cold tolerance of this species under precisely controlled low-temperature regimes and durations using certain physiological parameters.
