Help remove a garlic mustard, an invasive species, from one of our campus gems - Pammel Woods. Enjoy time outside and give back too, during the last week of Earth Month 2022.

Join Facilities Planning and Management Campus Services and the Office of Sustainability in an opportunity to increase the health and well-being of Pammel Woods. Volunteers can chart their own course and pace as they make their way through Pammel Woods and hand-pull (to ensure as many roots as possible) garlic mustard. Garlic mustard is an especially invasive species in wooded areas, crowding out native species and impacting plant life diversity.

Volunteers may join at any time during 11am-1pm and assist for whatever time works for their schedule. Any amount of time offers benefit and is appreciated. Staff from FPM and the Office of Sustainability will be on-hand to greet volunteers, offer instruction and plant ID and answer any questions. Look for the check-in table in the greenspace across the street from Town Engineering and near the Communications Building (formerly WOI).

Look forward to "pulling for the planet" with you!
