Join the Celebration - America Recycles Day 2022!! Learn about the BOSS YOUR TOSS waste minimization and diversion maximization campaign, test your recycling skills, see "upfront and personal" a representative HEAP of garbage bags representing each individual's annual trash contribution to the planet, be a part of a "I BOSS MY TOSS" promotional rap video and "Recycling Shuffle;" viral line dancing video.

To celebrate America/National Recycling Day 2022, a tabling event and two viral videos have been scheduled.

A tabling event on South Library lawn will consist of information on how to properly recycle paper, plastics, metal and cardboard on campus and in residential living. This tabling event will feature a mound of trash which will weigh 690 pounds (representative of the amount of waste an average college student throws to the landfill each school year). There will be giveaways and a game of "What Recycles?" going on at the table as well.

A viral video will take place at 11:30 AM which will feature the Recycle Shuffle. Each participant will have an item to recycle in hand. The group of students, faculty and staff will do a group line dance to a song and will perform the "Recycle Shuffle," which will be videoed in a music video styled format.

The second video will take place around and outside of the 11:30 time frame which will be students, faculty and staff, dunking their recycling into a recycling toter, looking into the camera and exclaiming, "I BOSS MY TOSS!" These clips will be edited into a video advertisement to create interest around this year's recycling campaign, "BOSS YOUR TOSS." The edited video will have a grunge feel to it and will feel more like a rap once it is completed. This video will play across the campus.

Join us for fun, adventure and education as we celebrate America/National Recycles Day, November 15!
