Join us to learn how to develop the PIER plan, required by specific DOE areas. We'll cover what to include and provide some resources that can be beneficial.

Applying to a Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOA) or DOE National Laboratory Announcements? Need to learn more about the Promoting Inclusive and Equitable Research (PIER) plan? We'll cover the newly updated requirements for PIER plans in these funding opportunities and discuss how to address them in your proposals. This workshop will include information on the general guidance language on PIER Plans, the merit review criterion and reviewer questions, and things to consider when developing a PIER Plan. Participants will learn how to create a PIER Plan that describes the applicant's activities and strategies to promote equity and inclusion in the research project. This workshop is ideal for researchers, grant writers, and institutional staff who are involved in applying for funding opportunities from the DOE and other federal agencies who might be discussing similar plans.
