Learn how to work with the new IRBManager system. Sessions are most useful for anyone who performs research with human subjects or who needs to sign off on IRB applications. Participants will learn how to submit IRB applications and access study information in the new system.
Workshop: The Pedagogy of Canvas Quizzes
Participants will learn how to use Quizzes in Canvas. The workshop will focus on practical ways to customize Quiz Settings as well as create and administer Quizzes with a variety of question types to accommodate specific learning situations. Quiz Moderation and Analytics will be also explored.

Workshop: Change management
"Navigating Waves of Change." This program is designed to explain the evolution and importance of change management. Participants will be given tips on how to handle change, as well as adjust their attitudes toward the inevitable twists and turns of daily life.
Workshop: Assignments and Gradebook in Canvas
Assignments are a backbone of the course's Gradebook in Canvas. Participants will learn to create and manage Assignments and Assignment Groups as well as explore how the Gradebook is connected to the organization of Assignments. Participants will experience the power of SpeedGrader for efficient and effective grading.

Research Workshop: Submission software training
The Office for Responsible Research will transition to a new electronic system for submission, review, and maintenance of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) applications. The a-tune tick@lab system will go live in early 2018, integrating research, teaching and testing protocols, animal procurement and management, as well as veterinary medical records.

Lecture: Public Transformation: A Documentation of Art in Rural America
Theater artist Ashley Hanson will present a snapshot of the lives, work, stories, themes, artifacts and questions she discovered while visiting 24 rural communities with populations of less than 10,000 across the country and discuss the role of art in small-town life and the challenges of making art in rural America.

"Navigating Your Research with Human Subjects: The IRB Submission Process." In this session, you will learn tips on developing and submitting protocols to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) Workshop
This Quality Matters (QM) flagship workshop on the QM Rubric and its use in reviewing the design of online and blended courses is intended for a broad audience, including but not limited to faculty, instructional designers, administrators, and instructors. It is particularly helpful to those new to QM or those considering the adoption of a quality assurance process for online and blended learning.
