Iowa State will be hosting the 2018 Big 12 Cross Country Championship at the ISU Cross Country Course. Admission is free, with the women's 6K starting at 10 a.m. and the men's 8K going off at 11 a.m.

Research workshop: Navigating Your Research with Human Subjects: The IRB Submission Process - Part 2
This is the second session in a four-part series that looks more closely at the components of the IRB submission process. We'll lead a discussion of risk in human subjects research and approaches for minimizing risk. We'll also talk about participant confidentiality, as well as data security measures.
The ISU Alumni Association, colleges and Memorial Union will present some of their highest honors during the 87th annual honors and awards ceremony. A dessert reception will follow the ceremony.

Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Ray LaMontagne announces tour dates for his 25-date North American Just Passing Through acoustic tour. John Stirratt of Wilco will accompany Ray on bass throughout the tour.

Homecoming lawn displays, a tradition since 1912, and parade floats will be on display. Watch 10-minute skits and vote for your favorite parade float.
These events are Homecoming traditions. Mass campaniling and fireworks will start at midnight.

Cyclones everywhere are invited to celebrate at the ISU Alumni Center before every home football game. Enjoy giveaways, shopping, refreshments, marching band performances, Cy and spirit squad appearances, and entertainment for all ages. Doors open 3 hours prior to kick-off and end 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Catered meal available for an additional charge.

Crisscross willow branches to make a star-shaped base for a decorative garden, wall, or door hanging, with the expert guidance of local artists Pam Dennis & Ryk Weiss.
The Iowa Statesmen, one of the region's leading men's choirs, was founded by Dr. Rodde in the fall of 2000. The ensemble specializes in the performance of traditional and contemporary male chorus literature.
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for better dancing. From 5-7pm, the floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie Williams, and for working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.
Hosted by ISU sororities and fraternities for Ames-area families. Members from the community will be giving out treats and hosting activities -- including a costume contest -- for kids up to fifth grade.

This two-hour interactive, hands-on workshop is open to all Iowa State University instructors and instructional designers to explore the basics of course building in Canvas.
