Concepts, Context, and Duality
Join artist Andy Magee as he discusses his exhibition of found-material sculptural art. Magee uses a variety of found objects that viewers have a personal connection with and generates a completely new meaning by interlacing them with contemporary issues including politics, religion, money, and sex.
Gallery Talk with Chris Martin and Barbara Walton
Encaustic paintings by Barbara Walton and fine-art furniture by Chris Martin, associate professors of integrated studio arts, are on display Sept. 24- Oct. 5 in Gallery 181-1, first floor, College of Design. Martin and Walton will present a gallery talk at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, in the gallery. The work of both faculty members was funded by Iowa Arts Council Major Grants.
