Craft of the Month: Photo Holders
Use paint, decoupage techniques and Washi tape to decorate a wood plaque with a clip for displaying your favorite photo.
Walk-In Craft: Fine Silver Pendant
Create a fine silver pendant without traditional metalworking techniques - no jewelry saw, soldering or endless filing! Use metal clay and a mold to make your pendant. We will then use a small torch to fire your work in just a few minutes. When you are done, you'll have a work of art that is 99.9% pure silver.
Drawing Class
Take this opportunity to learn and develop drawing skills, whether you are a beginner who likes to doodle or an artist with experience. Students will be guided through a variety of exercises to enhance your drawing techniques including: line, perspective, light/shadow, and composition, while developing hand-eye coordination and confidence.
Open Mic Night
Open mic night gives students the chance to show off their talents to their fellow students. Many are musicians, comedians, and poets. So come on out and show us what kind of talents you have.

Zendoodle Bookbinding Class
Turn your scribbles into a thoughtful collection of reflections in this 2-part class. Start by creating your own small handmade sketchbook using recycled materials and drawing paper, and finish with guided instruction in the process of Zendoodle to begin filling the pages with beautiful designs.

Crochet Class
Learn the three standard crochet stitches and how to incorporate them into project construction and finishing a market bag. Learn to read crochet patterns for future projects. Bring a size H hook to class. Yarn will be provided.
Wheel Pottery Class
Students will be guided through all aspects of forming bowls, mugs, vases and more on the pottery wheel. Learn handle-pulling, glazing and finishing techniques. Open to absolute beginners as well as those with experience who would like to improve their technique and abilities.

Paint Your Own Pottery: It's a Hoot!
"Painting" bisque is a fun and relaxing activity that can be done solo or with a group of friends. Choose from owl cups, banks and figurines. Meet "Screechy," a live Eastern Screech Owl who will be visiting The Workspace courtesy of the ISU Wildlife Care Clinic. Studio fee is $4 for ISU and $5 for public to attend plus the cost of the bisque you select.

ClubFest
ClubFest is an opportunity for students to browse through 360+ of the over 800 clubs and organizations to find out how to get involved on campus. A volunteer fair for nonprofit agencies also will be held.
Artful Yoga
This practice will enrich your yoga experience by going beyond the physical and inviting an artistic perspective to your awareness. This month we will focus on introspection and identity in our practice. Please arrive early for a discussion on the month's topic beginning at 5:15. The practice will begin at 5:30. No yoga experience is necessary, but please bring your own mat.

She moved to NYC in 2006 to study acting and soon discovered that she was completely obsessed with being a weirdo and making people laugh. She then began to study improv and acting at UCB, The PIT, The Philly Improv Theater and Michael Howard Studio.

Opening Reception: Rome Show 2015
The Rome Show 2015 will showcase projects by architecture and landscape architecture students who studied in Italy with the spring 2015 College of Design Rome Program. The opening reception will begin following the Department of Architecture's Premiere 15 student scholarships and awards ceremony and a guest lecture by Jill Lerner, FAIA, principal at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates.

Tai Chi Class
The class is an introduction to the Yang Style Short Form as taught by Cheng Man-Ch'ing. Learning and doing the Form's movements refresh the spirit and improve balance, posture, flexibility, attitude, confidence and overall health and well-being. Students will also learn some Qigong health exercises. Lloyd has been studying and practicing Yang Style Tai Chi for two decades.

Argentine Tango
This Milonga is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Woodshop Orientation
For the beginner who wants to learn the fundamentals of woodworking equipment. Proper usage of the machinery will be covered, as well as woodshop safety. This class is required in order to use the woodshop on your own.
Macrame Class
Sailors started it, hippies picked it up and The Workspace is bringin' it back! Learn the knots and hitches to create a retro plant hanger. Then, downsize and use the knotting forms to create an earthy bracelet with added beads.
Walk-In Dance: Belly Dance
A Three Pillars Delsarte based approach to Middle Eastern Belly Dance in the style of award winning performer Shiara. Learn the basic movements of belly dance with a specific focus and detailed exploration each week (listed below). The 8:20pm class will focus on technique, expression and choreography.
