"Little Dresses for Africa" Work Day
Simple dresses made out of pillowcases provide relief and hope for the children of Africa. We will provide the supplies, but can use the hands of volunteers to assist with making the dresses.

Tango Practica
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4- 5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better.

Watercolors in the Garden: The figure in the landscape
Join Jo Myers-Walker of the Left Bank Studio in Gilbert, Iowa as she teaches a series of ten classes on watercolors while being inspired by the surrounding gardens. Classes will focus on the figure in the landscape taking inspiration from tree and bonsai. Participants will get to showcase their art during the Bonsai Show on Saturday, October 8th. All skill levels welcome. Sign up for one class or all ten!
Tuesday Tea: Victorian Architecture
Come to the Farm House Museum to enjoy tea and conversation about all things Farm House. Mark your calendar from noon to 1 p.m. and enjoy the 150-year-old structure in a whole new way. Steve Herrnstadt, professor in Art and Design, James Bloedel, professor and former chair of Biomedical Science, and Mani Mina, lecturer in Computer Engineering, certainly have just that in their shared interest in healing, life, and appreciation for nature.
