David Williamson, from Ogden, Iowa, is the collaborating artist for a creative art series currently on display at Parks Library. The sculptures from this series are all created from trash collected by volunteers from Project AWARE, an annual statewide river clean-up project. The series also includes collaborative poems and songs. The artist will give a talk at 3:15pm followed by an interpretive tour of the artwork and informal discussion.

Tom Cordaro, the author of Be Not Afraid: An Alternative to the War on Terror, has been involved with faith-based peace and justice work for over 30 years as a local, regional and national organizer. He was named as an Ambassador of Peace by Pax Christi USA, a national Catholic peace and justice organization, and he is a member of the Pax Christi Anti-Racism Team.
