Workshop: Funding grant proposals
"Secrets to Targeting the Right Funding Source for Your Grant Proposal," with ISU librarians Rebecca Jackson and Sarah Passonneau. This workshop will focus primarily on using grants.gov and the Foundation Center Directory Online Professional, the two most comprehensive tools for finding funding sources.Registration is required through AccessPlus. All faculty, staff and grad students are welcome to attend.

Staniforth Memorial Lecture
"Field Weeds, Field Margins and Biodiversity: Ecological and Geographical Perspectives," Jon Marshall, director, Marshall Agroecology Limited. Marshall is an academic journal editor and research ecologist specializing in agroecology, vegetation management, weed science and the interactions between crop and non-crop habitat on farms. A reception will follow in the Agronomy Hall commons. This is the 23rd Annual David W. Staniforth Memorial Lecture.

Gretchen M. Bataille is Senior Vice President for Programs and Services at the American Council on Education in Washington, DC. She served for four years as president of the University of North Texas and was previously the chief academic officer of the sixteen-campus University of North Carolina system.
