He is author of many books articles, including Maybe Yes, Maybe no: A Guide For Young Skeptics, Losing Faith in Faith: From Preacher to Atheist, and Godless: How an Evangelical Preacher Became One of America's Leading Atheists. He is a former preacher of both Quaker and Assembly of God congregations.
