University Teaching Seminar
The Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) offers programming every August for new ISU teachers. This year's University Teaching Seminar on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 will invite new faculty and new teaching assistants to attend separate morning programming and joint afternoon programming.

Kids Story Time
Each session features a theme with two or three books read aloud followed by a related craft or activity. The books, crafts and activities are intended for children ages two to seven years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Free for members. Price of admission for the general public. Pre-Registration is required for groups larger than 10 and is HIGHLY recommended for everyone else.

Garden Quilt Show
Reiman Gardens and the Iowa Quilters Guild will be hosting the annual Garden Quilt Show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 23, 24, and 25 at Reiman Gardens. The three-day show will encourage the art of quilting through beautiful displays of 90 garden-themed quilts created by talented Midwesterners as part of a juried show with prizes awarded by central Iowa sponsors.

Plant Pals
Join us and cultivate a garden at Reiman Gardens. We are going to grow huge vegetables like giant pumpkins, tomatoes and sunflowers, as well as beautiful flowers. Each session has hands-on activities to interact with all the wonderful plants that we enjoy and eat. Classes are great for kids of all ages to participate in with an adult. $2 for members. $6 for the general public. Iowa State University students pay 15% off member price.
