Academic advisers recognition breakfast
The University Academic Advising Committee is hosting a recognition event for all academic advisers. A light breakfast will be available, and a short program will begin at 8 a.m. Feel free to come and go as your schedule allows. An RSVP is requested, but not required, to dlmartin@iastate.edu.

President Steven Leath will provide opening remarks and welcome musical performances by Shy of a Dozen in celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. King. Birthday cake graciously donated by Campus Dining Services.

Knittinging with Sarah Cady
Learn the basics of knitting: cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off, rib stitch, increase and decrease techniques, pattern reading, gauge swatching, and picking up dropped stitches. Bring a pair of #7 or #8 single-point needles. Yarn will be provided.
Cyclone Cinema: Moneyball
The story of Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane's successful attempt to put together a baseball club on a budget by employing computer-generated analysis to draft his players. There will be a showing at 10pm as well.
Screenprinting with Dara Poorman
Learn an inexpensive way to create custom t-shirts. Using your own design, learn to make a screen with the photographic emulsion method. Bring in your shirts and print away! This class is required in order to use the Workspace screenprinting equipment on your own.
