Feed the Need Food Drive
Student Volunteer Services will be collecting canned and non-perishable food for local people in need. Food will be donated to Mid-Iowa Community Action (MICA) for distribution through their food pantry.
Poverty Awareness Week - various events
March 29-April 3 marks the second annual Poverty Awareness Week at Iowa State University. Organized by EWB-ISU, the week long event gives organizations on campus a chance to come together and raise awareness of poverty and inform students of how they can become involved.

Meeting: USDA BioPreferred Intermediate Materials and Feedstocks
A public meeting for interested stakeholders to discuss the issue of intermediate material designations as they pertain to: the designation by USDA of biobased products for a Federal procurement preference as mandated by the 2008 Farm Bill; and the need for backup information under the pending "USDA Certified Biobased Product" label program.
