The three-day juried show with prizes features beautiful displays of garden-themed quilts created by talented Midwesterners.
Insect Hotel Workshop
Build a small insect hotel with all materials provided. Based on a willow frame, you will fill it with various natural materials such as sticks, stones and layered bark to create dark private spaces insects find attractive.
Chess to Impress: United Way of Story County fundraiser
Challenge Distinguished Professor of electrical and computer engineering David Jiles to a game on the library's 8 by 8-foot chess board. If you win, Jiles will donate $50 to United Way of Story County. Up to 9 games can be played simultaneously. Spectators welcome.
Youth Program: Medallion Quilt Blocks for Kids
Bring in some fun fabric, and learn how to form medallion quilt blocks from mirror images. The fusible applique technique will be used to create an 18" square medallion quilt block that can then be used to make a pillow, wall hanging, or included in a larger quilt.

University Museums 40th Anniversary Celebration
This anniversary celebration will feature designer desserts, fanciful floral creations, libations, cash bar and live music. A brief program begins at 8:30 p.m. Cocktail attire requested.
