This series will allow participants to develop knowledge of the wide variety of garden plants that grow well in Central Iowa. Covering nearly 500 plants, these 16 classes are spread across several years. Each class focuses on identification, cultural requirements, and the use of the plants in gardens and the broader landscape.

Use naturally derived dyes for yarn and roving for your next fibers project. Focus on the process of dyeing with indigo. Participants can choose two skeins of lace (880 yards), fingering (sock) (462 yards), or worsted weight yarn (220 yards). Participants may also bring wool, silk or other protein fiber to experiment with for spinning or other projects. Extra skeins will be available for purchase. Wear old clothes (apron/gloves provided.)
