Celebration breakfast: Appreciation of Advising
Academic advisers and faculty advisers are invited to a complimentary hot breakfast to honor and celebrate the service that academic advisers provide to students and the university. A brief program will begin at 8:15 a.m. Registration requested by Feb. 16.
POSTPONED TO FALL 2015: Critical Thinking Seminar: Using students' reflections for assessment, self-critique and lifelong learning
In this seminar we will briefly review critical thinking: its meaning, essence, and some of the leading practices. Learning how to examine, assess, and critique critical thinking are essential skills for both students and their professors. The challenge of acquiring these skills has been documented for many decades starting with John Dewey's perspectives in the early 20th century.

Paint Your Own Pottery: Bubble Painting
Join us on Fridays evenings for a fun exploration of techniques in "painting" bisque. This is sort of like blowing bubbles when you were a kid, but we do it with a straw and paint. The popped bubbles show up and make interesting patterns on the finished pieces.

Planetarium Show
Are you curious about space? Do you wonder about what you can see in the night sky? If so, bring your questions and come to the ISU Planetarium to learn more. The first show, starting at 6:30 p.m. will be 20 minutes and for kids. Shows at 7 and 7:30 p.m. and are suitable for all ages. Tickets will be available at the door starting at 6:15 p.m. Seating is limited. Weather permitting there will be an outdoor observing session after the last show.
