Iowa Energy Center speaker series
"Green Savings: How Policies and Markets Drive Energy Efficiency," Marilyn Ann Brown, Georgia Institute of Technology. Brown will introduce fresh perspectives on energy production, new technology, policymaking, user behavior and how these features all play critical roles in determining the best plan of action to overcome the global energy crisis. Register (free) in advance; reception will follow (noon-12:30 p.m.).
Scholarship poster festival
The apparel, merchandising and design department annual poster festival features design, research and teaching scholarship. Posters and apparel designs on display. Refreshments will be served.

At this public hearing, individuals have an opportunity to provide early input on agenda items for the state Board of Regents April 22-23 meeting in Council Bluffs.

Workshop: Papermaking
This is a 3 week course on Thursdays, April 2, April 9, and April 16 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Learn to form sheets of handmade paper using pulp prepared from recycled materials in this hands-on class that makes a splash. Please bring an apron if you have one, and come prepared to make a mess. Great for anyone ages 10 and up.
Finding a Way: Making and Meaning - Jeremy Rudd
Artist, educator and Iowa State alumnus Jeremy Rudd will discuss finding his way as a professional visual artist while navigating the demands of career, family and ambition. He will share his experience as a liturgical artist on commission and present his recent work that focuses on metaphors of environment and sustainability. He is the guest juror for the 2015 Senior BFA Exhibition in the College of Design's Gallery 181.
Lecture: Immigration and Mental Health
Melba Vasquez is a past president of the American Psychological Association and led the organization's national taskforce on how immigration affects the mental heath status of immigrants and their children.

Cyclone Voice featuring Andy Grammer
Cyclone Voice is a singing competition that highlights the vocal talents of Iowa State students. This year's finale host will be singer-songwriter Andy Grammer. Andy is known for his hit songs "Keep Your Head Up," "Fine By Me," and his latest chart-climbing hit "Honey, I'm Good." Andy will emcee the event and will perform a few songs right before the winner is announced.
