EAP: Changes in the workplace
04 Aug 2009, 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM @ Cardinal Room, MU - Diana Prizgintas, The Richmond Center, will lead a presentation on dealing with changes in the workplace. All employees are welcome; no advance registration is required. The format will be a 20-25 minute presentation followed by a Q&A session. Topics covered include: dealing with changes in the workplace, stages of change, coping skills, and resources available to employees. Cost: free.

This session includes: potential FMLA situations; what actions to take; roles of the supervisor, employee and HRS; accurately calculating and tracking how much FMLA time is available to an employee; and more. Cost: free.

Destination Iowa State: Comedian Jeff Dye
22 Aug 2009, 9:00 PM @ Stephens Auditorium - Jeff Dye finished third in the last season of NBC's Last Comic Standing and has opened for Shawn Wayans, Greg Giraldo, Jim Norton, Bill Burr, among others. He was the 2007 Giggles Comedy Club Laffoff Champion, the 2007 runner up in the Rocky Mountain Laffoff, a 2006 Seattle International Comedy Competition semifinalist and was named the 2007 College Favorite. This event is for Destination Iowa State participants. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. Cost: free.
