The Garden Art Fair returns to Reiman Gardens. This popular event will feature dozens of artists and artisans selling their wares in and around the Gardens. Vendors' wares include garden photography, stained glass, pottery, handmade jewelry, watercolor paintings and more. Visit the Gardens for fabulous art as well as summer blooms, the Conservatory, the Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing and the Gift Shop.

Kickoff Ceremony: Special Olympics Torch Run

The final leg of the law enforcement torch run will originate in Ames, a kickoff to the Special Olympics national games taking place in Lincoln, Neb. A 10 a.m. pancake breakfast precedes the 11 a.m. ceremony.

The first class will meet in the Cultural District downtown, where students can shoot and interact with the instructor and classmates. From the depot to Bandshell Park, historic downtown Ames has great photo opportunities. People, green spaces, architecture, transportation, public art and more.
