Retirement symposium: Richard Larock
Larock, a Distinguished Professor in chemistry, is retiring. A series of scientific lectures will honor his contributions to the university and to the field of chemistry. The university community is invited to come and go from the various lectures. The symposium opens May 13.

"The Ethical Challenges of Communicating Science within Political Controversies." Drawing upon research in both humanities and social science disciplines, four local and national experts build upon Iowa State's expertise in science communication by presenting and discussing new research that explores the ethical considerations of science communication within policymaking through an interdisciplinary conversation.
