Make pendants or earrings by etching and fusing dichroic glass. Learn the use of tools, etching techniques and proper measuring and cutting of glass.
Panel: What's So Bad about Fifty Shades of Grey?
A panel of scholars will discuss the best-selling Fifty Shades of Grey series that libraries in Minnesota and Florida have refused to put on their shelves. Panelists include Brenda Lohman, ISU human development and family studies; Dometa Brothers, ISU English; and Lynn Carey, Ames Public Library interim director. Veronica Lorson Fowler, Communications Director for ACLU of Iowa, will moderate the discussion. Banned Book Week event.

Wheel Pottery
Students will be guided through all aspects of forming bowls, mugs, vases and more on the pottery wheel. Learn hand-pulling, glazing and finishing techniques. Open to absolute beginners as well as those with experience that would like to improve their technique and abilities.
SUB Comedy: w/ NICK RUTHERFORD
Founding member of the sketch comedy troupe "Good Neighbor" and writer for Adult Swim. Nick has been the featured comedian at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, New York Underground Comedy Festival and the SF Sketchfest. This event is a college students favorite word FREE.
