Symposium: Linguistic Perspectives on Discipline-Specific Language
Linguistics researchers who analyze academic discipline-specific language vs. actual writing practices and training for students in those disciplines will present. The intent is to improve pedagogy of writing in STEM disciplines. Faculty and students are invited.
Performance: My Grandparents in the War
A brother and sister travel back to Texas and the family farm to see their grandfather one last time before his death. The grandchildren share memories of unforgettable days in their grandparent's lives, the strong, loving bond the two shared, and the farm they built together.
