Highlights for Earth Day include Reiman Garden tree planting with Christie Vilsack; Arbor Day Cherry Tree Planting; Student Organization Expo (featuring free food, energy efficient light bulbs, bike tuneups, and prizes); Wheatsfield "garden" event; Octagon Center Recycled Art Exhibit; ISU Outdoor Rec Used Equipment Sale; Electronics Recycling Event; Brunnier Gallery Walk in the Woods Exhibit; Avatar; and the LAS Green Team competition results.

Earth Week at ISU includes 40 events for the 40th Anniversary of Earth Week!! Some events are taking place all week such as 99 cent drink fills and "Grounds for the Gardens" free coffee ground giveaway by ISU Dining; an Earth Day scavenger hunt sponsored by ActivUS; a used magazine sale at the Memorial Union; and the opportunity to take part in a trial recycling program at the Memorial Union for redeemable containers.
