Please join CyRide in celebrating its most recent step toward increased sustainability with twelve, new hybrid transit buses. The event will include a dedication ceremony, a ride on one of the new hybrid buses, and ice cream sandwiches.

This event will celebrate another step in the Live Green! journey for ISU and the City of Ames. Made possible through federal, state and local financing, these hybrid buses will reduce CyRide's carbon footprint by more than 210,513 kilograms annually while at the same time reducing CyRide's fuel consumption by 23,000 gallons each year. So mark your calendar and join CyRide's staff and board members in commemorating this milestone in Ames transit history.
