On October 15-17 Iowa State University Department of Music and Theatre and the Iowa Composers Forum (ICF) will host a Fall Festival of New Music featuring chamber, electroacoustic, wind ensemble, and choral music by composer members of the ICF from Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Texas.

Many of these pieces will be performed by various faculty members and several small and large student ensembles from ISU Department of Music and Theatre. The festival will include three concerts on Friday and Saturday featuring works by ICF members, and an Iowa State Singers concert on Sunday afternoon which will include a work by an ICF member. The composers of each ICF work will be in attendance and will introduce their piece to the audience. In addition, there will be a concert Friday evening featuring guest composer Elainie Lillios (Bowling Green State University of Ohio) sponsored by the C. Buell Lipa Festival for Contemporary Music at Iowa State University. Elainie Lillios will give a pre-concert introduction a half hour before this concert. The festival will also include several lectures on topics of interest to composers and arrangers on Saturday and Sunday. All concerts will be held in the Martha-Ellen Tye Recital Hall in Music Hall, and with the exception of the Iowa State Singers concert are free. Admission for the Singers concert will be $4 for the general public and $2 for students.
