Ceramics Workshop: Fluid Form with Lisa Orr
Studio potter Lisa Orr will offer a three-day ceramics workshop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 26-28. Orr, the owner of Lisa Orr Pottery in Austin, Texas, will demonstrate her unique production process, and those with prior ceramics experience may participate in hands-on activities. Others are welcome to observe and ask questions.

Adviser Exchange Series: Mapworks and the Student Success Collaborative: Using student survey and big data analytics to support student achievement
Join the presenters in learning about two critical tools that can assist advisers during advising meetings and interventions with students. This interactive session will utilize new theoretical perspectives presented in the book Rethinking College Student Retention (Braxton, et.al., 2014) to establish the foundation for why both Mapworks and the Student Success Collaborative are important tools for effective advising.

April of 2014 celebrates the 150th anniversary of the ending of the Civil War. Iowa sent a greater proportion of its men between the ages of 15-40 than did any other state. This is the story of four of them and three women who loved them.
