Harambee is a annual noncompetitive showcase that highlights the various talents of the ISU student body. All talents are welcome but must be suitable for all ages. Sponsored by the Black Student Alliance.

Tevye, his wife, and five daughters live in Tsarist Russia. He hopes to find fine husbands for each of his girls, men who will follow the Jewish faith and earn enough to made a comfortable life, but each young woman wants to make her own choice. Tevye finds himself placed in precarious position between the tradition he follows and the new ways his daughters accept. A universal story of love, hope, and acceptance.

Stevie Starr - Professional Regurgitator
A VEISHEA performance you won't forget! During his childhood Stevie Starr lived in a children's home and found out he had a talent when he was able to hide his money by swallowing it, then regurgitating it dry. His many acts include swallowing coins and regurgitating them in order, swallowing a billiard ball whole, swallowing live goldfish and producing them again - still alive.

Contortionist Jonathan Burns
Burns was the kind of kid who would put his leg over his head at the family reunion or perform musical armpit farts to impress the girls. In 2004, contorting his body and impressing people with his unusual talents became his full-time job. Since then he has performed at over 200 colleges & universities, at festivals across the US, Canada, China, Ireland, & New Zealand, and was recently featured on Jay Leno & the Late Show with Letterman.

Magician Nate Staniforth

Matt Baker's hip comedy show and juggling act is action-packed with audience participation and perpetual laughter that will be sure to entertain you.
