Gunderson's book consists of regional and neighborhood history, a personal memoir, and spiritual insights as well as many black-and-white and color photographs. Daniel Hartwig, head of Special Collections and University Archives, will moderate a conversation between Gunderson and Cornelia Butler Flora, Distinguished Professor of Sociology Emerita.

Dr. Dave A. M. Peterson, Lucken Professor of Political Science, discusses how White Americans' perceptions and attitudes about Latinos shape the way they think about politics. Based on his book, Ignored Racism: White Animus Toward Latinos, he will present how institutional discrimination targeting Latinos has resulted in White's negative stereotypes.
