Sponsored Funding Budgets 101
After this session you'll know how to look for and identify budget-related items in a funding agency's request for proposal, and where to find all the information you need to create a sound budget for your proposal. We'll discuss some of the common mistakes people make during budget development (please, share your stories!) so others can avoid them. We'll work through a real budget scenario so that you'll feel confident using Iowa State tools.

Innovators Forum: Tony Sardella
A live, moderated conversation with Tony Sardella, founder and vice chairman of evolve24, a leader in big data, predictive analytics and strategic decision-making. Sardella also holds an adjunct professor position in the Olin Business School at Washington University, St. Louis, and was inducted as a Laureate of the Smithsonian Institute for his social and economic impact in the field of science and technology. Innovation Workshop: Creating Innovation Strategy Using Narrative-Based Design Methods
Associate professor of English Abram Anders will introduce narrative-based design methods that support a human-centered approach to creating an innovation strategy and communicating it through mindsets and practices that can impact behavior and performance. Participants will use these methods to explore opportunities and envision innovation strategies for adaptive leadership at ISU.
