March is Women's History Month so join us as we look at the contribution of women artists to the Art on Campus Collection. Come and join the University Museums as we explore Art on Campus created by local, national, and internationally recognized women artists. Meet in the first floor lobby by the south entrance of the Hixson-Lied Student Success Center.
Gun Control Theatre - A ReACT Reading
Following the conclusion of the Thoughts and Prayers exhibition and leading up to the March for Our Lives on Saturday, March 24th, Focal Theatre Lab in partnership with ReACT Gallery will present informal readings of plays addressing gun control from a variety of perspectives. The plays will be read outside Morrill Hall in the Anderson Sculpture Garden. You are invited to come and go as your schedule allows or stay for the entire performance.

Lecture: Paranormalcy
Photographer Christopher Schneberger (Columbia College, Chicago) builds entire worlds in his art, creating narrative series filled with otherworldly characters. Using photographic technologies from the antiquated to the futuristic, he weaves together fact and fiction into immersive experiences. Bringing his traveling 3-D theater to the College of Design, Schneberger will show his work and discuss how he creates his complex illusions.

Paint Your Own Pottery: Bubble Painting

Co-hosted by the ISU Chess Club, this event is a fundraiser for Students Helping Our Peers (SHOP), the on-campus, student-run food pantry. Jiles, Distinguished Professor of electrical and computer engineering, will play against multiple opponents (as many as 12 contests simultaneously).

The story of glass beads spans thousands of years and the importance of these tiny pieces of glass to many diverse cultures goes far beyond their diminutive size. Join University Museums Assistant Curator, Adrienne Gennett, as she explores how glass beads came to be so significant and influential, using examples from University Museums permanent collection.

Art + Issues: Building a Campus Community
