Spoken Word Night with Anthony McPherson
Anthony McPherson is a resident poet with the National Museum of African American History & Culture. The former NYC subway breakdancer's poetry appears in the Lionsgate film "Love Beats Rhymes," produced by RZA of Wu-Tang, as well as the Emmy-winning documentary "Frameworks."

Charles Finfrock is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), a Certified Bitcoin Professional, and an expert in cryptocurrency. Finfrock spent 18 years in the CIA's Directorate of Operations conducting and leading clandestine operations overseas to collect foreign intelligence and run counterintelligence operation.

The History of the Glass Making Industry in America
Nancy Smith and Kathy Piersma from Grand Rapids, MI will present a program describing the various aspects and designs of Early American Pattern Glass. Visitors are welcome to bring up to three pressed glass objects they are seeking to know more about.
Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. Classes meet every Sunday and drop-ins are welcome. Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Open to ages 18+.

Floral Design: Dried Floral Wreaths
Arrange seasonal flowers and greenery cut fresh from the Gardens along a willow wreath to add to your home décor. Flowers featured will dry beautifully and last for months. Preregistration with prepayment is required by Sunday, September 18.
NEW DATE: Kardemimmit
Kardemimmit is a band of four women playing the Finnish national instrument, the stringed kantele. Kardemimmit is in charge of their own music - they compose, arrange, write lyrics and produce. Alongside 15- and 38-stringed kanteles, singing has a big part in Kardemimmit's musical universe where original pieces with a modern approach still have a strong foundation in Finnish Eastern European and Scandinavian traditions.
Where's the Whistle? You Can't Coach Yourself Out of Mental Illness
Lyndsey (Medders) Fennelly, a former Iowa State All-American and WNBA draftee, will speak about her journey with mental illness. Part of the 2022 Story County Mental Health Expo and vendor fair, which begins at 6 p.m. in the Sun Room with door prizes and free food.
