Cyclone Cinema: Minions: The Rise of Gru
Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.

The current cast members of the Emmy-nominated TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" are proud to present their new improv tour, a 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song all based on audience suggestions. Cast members Ryan Stiles, Jeff B. Goode, Greg Proops, and Joel Murray will leave you gasping with the witty scenes they invent before your eyes.

2022 Norman Borlaug Lecture: Cynthia Rosenzweig is the 2022 World Food Prize laureate for her seminal contributions to understanding and predicting the impacts of the interaction between climate and food systems. Through designing and leading rigorous, collaborative observational and modeling research, she provided the evidence used by thousands of decision-makers in more than 90 countries to both mitigate and adapt to climate change.

Floral Design: Spooky Arrangements
Use seasonal flowers cut fresh from the Gardens in a spooky Halloween-inspired tabletop arrangement. This month's design features a low container with floral foam, and a few festive surprises.
Photo Transfers on Fabric Class
Learn how to use freezer paper and an inkjet printer to transfer your images onto fabric. Experiment with a few prints, then take your favorite and turn it into an art piece with stitching and embellishments. This course meets on Tuesdays 6pm-9pm beginning October 18 for 2 weeks.
How a Female Fighter Pilot Overcame Her Fears and Self-Doubt
Michelle Curran, also known as MACE, led an impressive career as a Fighter Pilot during her 13 years in the United States Air Force. From 2019-2021, she flew as the only female pilot for the Air Force Thunderbirds and performed for millions across the country and internationally. Upon joining this high performing team, she rapidly discovered the best part was not the flying, but the opportunity to inspire others.

Following the Women Who Create Conference, he public is invited to the uniquely inspiring SheTalks event: a community cocktail reception featuring six women who are creatively leading in their distinct fields. Taken from the Japanese-inspired Pecha Kucha, each presenter shows 20 slides, each for 20 seconds while telling their story. Registration (free) requested. Networking begins at 4:30 p.m., followed by the presentations (5-6:30 p.m.).

Needle Felted Wool Buddies Workshop w/ Sarah Cady
Former Lucasfilm animator Jackie Huang created Woolbuddies, hilarious and charming felted animals, and we will be using his book as the guide in this beginner class. Find Mr. Binks, the wide-eyed pig, Eunice, the roly-poly sheep, Quint, the toothy shark, among the cast of characters created by Huang.
Needle Felted Woolbuddies Workshop
Open to ages 18+. All supplies are included in the class fee and participants will be able to take home a set of needles and foam block for future felting.
