Ready to Run Iowa
"Ready to Run Iowa" is a 6-part, nonpartisan campaign training program to encourage women to run for elective office, position themselves for appointive office, work on a campaign, or become more involved in public life. Each workshop will address a different topic. Registration is required; register for each workshop individually.

Global Gala
Let us show you the world and join us at Global Gala on Friday, March 24 at 6:00 pm in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union. Doors will open at 6:00 pm with a cultural craft and more! Performances will start at 7 pm. There will be light refreshments so attendees can enjoy food while watching the performances.

Cyclone Cinema: The Woman King
Cyclone Cinema is presented by the Student Union Board and showcases a variety of film genres, screening a different movie every weekend Thursday - Sunday during the semester. Sunday film screenings are in open caption format. All other screenings can be open caption as well, as long as the request is made to the staff prior to the movie starting.
Broomball Tournament
A one-day, double elimination tournament. Broomball is a blend of hockey rules and formations, and soccer-like strategy. Games are played in athletic clothing and shoes, no skating experience required. Teams must have a minimum of 5 players, maximum of 10 players. Players must be 16+ years of age. Winners receive a championship T-shirt.

The Cyclones host in-state rivals Drake (10 a.m.), Northern Iowa (11:15 a.m.) and Iowa (1:30 p.m.) for shortened three-set matches in this annual tournament.

Victorian Fables, Follies and Fairytales
Gather around the fireplace in the Farm House Museum parlor to hear Victorian fables, follies and fairytales. These stories are a bit darker than children's stories of today. This in-person program will be livestreamed.
Argentine Tango Drop-In Lessons
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. Classes meet every Sunday and drop-ins are welcome. Purchase a dance punch card and attend as often as your schedule allows. Open to ages 18+.

Drop-In Craft: Beaded Felt Bowls
Make a cute and handy little bowl. Choose a thick felt circle with pre-made holes in a color you like, along with a handful of large beads. You will stitch the beads into the felt and cinch it at the end with strong thread and a sturdy needle. This is a fun project that is perfect for all ages and skill sets.

"How the most decorated American track and field Olympian of all time turned inspiration in motherhood and advocacy into social innovation," Allyson Felix. Felix is an 11-time Olympic medalist, mom, business owner, and recently retired professional athlete who will share stories of adversity, triumph, and advocacy through her presentation and extended question and answer period.

Art Walk: Athletics and the Body
Athletics and the depiction of the human form is a vital theme in both Iowa State's history and the Art on Campus Collection. Museums Docent Steve Petska will lead an art walk in connection with the "Honoring Jack Trice" exhibition at the Christian Petersen Museum.
U.S. Census: Searching for and using census data
Participants will learn how to locate and use data from the United States Census Bureau surveys.
Rewriting, Reclaiming, and Reorienting in Digital Spaces
Join ISU Writing and Communication Consultations and Academic Success Center for a virtual speaker series event in conversation with artists and designers, Ashlee Bird, Joseph Erb, and Casey Koyczan. Panelists will each share their work advocating for Indigenous language justice through technology and design, followed by a Q&A with attendees.
Guillermo Galindo: Redefining the Boundaries of Music Composition
Guillermo Galindo has spent his career redefining the conventional limits between music, the art of music composition and the intersections between art disciplines, politics, humanitarian issues, spirituality and social awareness. Much of his work focuses on the stories of migrants and refugees told through experimental music and performance art. He will give a public lecture March 29 and premiere his "Transonic Borders" composition March 30.

Guillermo Galindo: Transonic Borders
An experimental composer, sonic architect, performance and visual media artist, Guillermo Galindo explores the intersection of art and social consciousness with a focus on the stories of migrants and refugees. He will premiere his "Transonic Borders" composition, which features sound-generating devices fashioned from items found discarded at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Roman Shipwrecks and a Maritime Bottleneck in the Aegean Sea
Professor Dan Davis of Luther College will discuss two Roman shipwrecks that were discovered and remotely documented in deep water in the southeast Aegean by the E/V Nautilus expedition. These shipwrecks shed light on the distribution of Rhodian wine in the early Roman Empire as well as a treacherous maritime corridor. Dr. Davisââ'¬â"¢ research shows how scientists, engineers, and humanists can work together to make important discoveries.

Use palette knives and frosting-like textured paint mediums to create the modern 3D floral paintings you've seen all over Instagram. The process of mixing the medium and applying it to your canvas is almost meditative, so this beginner class will be a great stress-reliever! You will leave with two post-worthy paintings and the skills to continue making more at home.
