Paula Cowgill Gmelch Memorial Sculpture Dedication
Short program dedicating a memorial sculpture in honor of Paula Cowgill Gmelch, late wife of Walter Gmelch, who was dean of the ISU College of Education (now part of Human Sciences) from 1998 to 2004. The sculpture was designed, produced and installed by Ingrid Lilligren, ISU professor of integrated studio arts.

Veishea: Opening Ceremony
Sarah Brown Wessling is the 2010 National Teacher of the Year and a Johnston High School language arts teacher. She holds both a bachelor's degree (1998) and master's degree (2003) in English from Iowa State, where she also completed the teacher licensure program.

Veishea: University Museums open house
Continue the VEISHEA celebration after the parade ends by visiting your favorite University Museums! The Brunnier Art Museum, Christian Petersen Art Museum and Farm House Museum will open at the conclusion of the parade and welcome all ISU friends, family and alumni to view the current exhibitions.
Veishea: ISU Game Development Competition
Get a sneak peek at the entries in the ISU Game Development Competition and vote for your faves! Student teams will present their game designs in a dry run for the big exhibition and judging the following week (April 20). In addition to the judged awards, the top two teams with the most popular votes will receive $2000 and $1000, so get out and support the ones you like best!

Spring Fling and Bunny Breakfast

Memorial Service: Margaret "Marty" Baker Graham
Graham, a professor of English, died Jan. 6 after a long illness. She taught English and women's studies courses from 1983 to 2010, and served as director of first-year composition from 1994 to 2003. This is a public event.
