Veishea: Opening Ceremony
Simon Estes, the world-renowned opera singer, has sung for 6 Presidents of the United States as well as Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the late Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa. He is the 2014 VEISHEA Parade Grand Marshal.Student Organization Awards including Adviser of the Year and Student Leader of the Year.A 4-5 p.m. reception with refreshments will precede his talk in the Sun Room.

Yoga in Design
The Community and Regional Planning Graduate Student Club is partnering with ISU Recreation Services Group Fitness program to offer students, staff and faculty a midday break in the College of Design's Lightfoot Forum (atrium). Have fun and relax with free yoga from noon to 1 p.m. Yoga mats will be available for use, but you can also bring your own.

ROTC: Tri-Service Change of Command Ceremony
All three of Iowa State's ROTC services will participate in this combined ceremony, a military tradition that represents a formal transfer of responsibility for a unit from one officer to another. The university community is invited.

Latin American Urbanism Symposium: Studio Andino Presentation
Studio Andino, an interdisciplinary spring option studio taught by Architecture Associate Professor Clare Cardinal-Pett, will present its outreach project to develop, construct and stock a micro-library in the El Carmen neighborhood of Comas, an informal settlement in Lima, Peru.

CODAC Spring Art Sale
Biannual sale of work by students in the integrated studio arts program, sponsored by CODAC (College of Design Art Club). Ceramics, prints, photos, wood items, and paintings will be offered for sale. Most items range from $5 to $150.
Honors poster presentation and reception
Spring and summer University Honors Program graduates, as well as other honors students, will be present to answer questions and speak with individuals about their Honors research projects.
