Art Walk: Celebrating the Legacy of George Washington Carver
Join the University Museums in celebrating one of our greatest alumni, George Washington Carver, through the artwork he has inspired on campus. For nearly seventy years, artists from Christian Petersen to Rose Frantzen have been inspired by Carver to create art that captures the spirit of mentorship, discovery, and invention. Their art adds to the legacy of this great man and to the inspiring aesthetic of his alma mater.

ISU Symphonic Band
The Symphonic Band is an 80-member ensemble that explores traditional as well as contemporary works by composers such as Percy Grainger, Malcolm Arnold, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Leonard Bernstein. The Symphonic Band is conducted by Steven Smyth, Associate Director of Bands.

This satire pokes fun at rules, love, egos, and behavior, and has been called one of the greatest comedies ever written.

Walk-in Argentine Tango
This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4-5pm, moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better. From 5-7pm, the dance floor is yours for dancing under the guidance of Valerie and working with different partners. An intermediate level figure will also be introduced during this time.

Art + Issues: Building a Campus Community
Art + Issues is an open campus discussion facilitated by our educator of visual literacy and learning. Topics that relate to current events will be presented and attendees are encouraged to bring other discussion topics with them with a goal of generating understanding in a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space. People are invited to come and go during the two hour time frame as their schedule permits.

ISU Symphony Orchestra's performance showcases the various instrument families and explores basic music concepts, while allowing young audiences to feel the excitement and enjoy the emotions inspired by music. A 'petting zoo' is a chance to see and hear the unique instruments up close.
