Spirits in the Gardens
Just after the new moon, during nights with a nip in the air, Reiman Gardens brings their Spirits in the Gardens event to life.

This Milonga (dance party) is a multi-level class with lots of time to enjoy the music and dance. From 4- 5pm moves for beginners are introduced with a different figure each week along with techniques for dancing better.

Object Lessons: Conserving John Bloom's Post Office Murals
John Bloom (1906-2002), an artist whose best-known works were produced during the Depression, notably his New Deal post office murals in the towns of DeWitt and Tipton, Iowa. When the preparatory studies for the murals came to ISU in 2003, they were full of holes made during the transfer process. Join University Museums staff for a discussion on how these murals were restored and what an object goes through during the conservation process.
